Loved, but Lost

John 3:15-16

that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.
"For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

"Life with Christ is an endless hope, without Him a hopeless end."

Lost is a biblical term describing the spiritual condition of persons
who have not received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
but the bible tells us that Jesus was sent into the world to save the lost.
(John 3:17) "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
"therefore, we cease to be lost when our spirit is made alive by being born again.
there are some people in our world,
however, who believe they are too lost to be found.
"I have done too many terrible things to be saved by Jesus,"they say.
"He wouldn't want me."
Yet, Jesus parables of the lost things reveal hope for these downtrodden souls.
In Luke 15, Jesus asks His audience if they would not search for one lost sheep until it is found. He suggests that they would likely have a celebration when the lost lamb is found.
then He delivers a powerful concluson:
"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."
Clearly, God rejoices when the lost are found-
when those who have denied Him surrender to His loving call.
the next time you meet someone who believes he is too bad, guilty, or lost to come to Jesus,
share with him the parables of Luke 15.
then, show him the life-changing verses of John 3:15-17,
which give the
assurance that Jesus considered him worth dying for on the cross.
